About Sacred Healing

About the Sacred Healing

Ayahuas-ca (known as “Mother Aya) is an Amazonian sacred plant medicine used by shamans to facilitate intense physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual healing. She should be treated seriously and only consumed in a sacred ceremonial environment under the guidance of an experienced shaman.

Sacred Healing — also known as the tea, the vine, and la purga — is a brew made from the leaves of the Psychotria viridis shrub along with the stalks of the Banisteriopsis caapi vine.

The Amazon mixture is a psychointegrator of the conscious and unconscious dimensions of the human being, individual, and group dimensions.

This Amazonian plant medicine has been used in a sacred context by indigenous and mestizo healers in Peru, Colombia, Ecuador and Brazil for hundreds of years. It is the result of a mixture of 2 (or more) plants found in the Amazon jungle – the Aya Sacred Healing vine (Banisteriopsis caapi), and the Chacruna leaf (Psychotria viridis), which contains the powerful psychoactive dimethyltryptamine (DMT).

It is a brew capable of inducing altered states of consciousness. Sacred Healing is a Quechua word and translates to “vine of the soul” or “vine of the spirits”. It goes by many different names according to region, such as oni, caapi, natema, yajé, yagé, nepe, shuri, kamalampi, kaji and others throughout the Amazon Basin.

What issues can Sacred Healing treat?

Sacred Healing can help with issues like anger management, depression, suicidal ideations, anxiety & fear, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance abuse, sexual abuse, loneliness, inner child, and self-esteem issues.

I’m anxious about it, how do I know if it’s right for me?

An Sacred Healing ceremony can ignite life-changing healing, but the experience itself can seem daunting. Your fears may include the loss of control, or perhaps the physical experiences you’ll encounter. This is entirely natural.

Know that Mother Aya holds a deep wisdom and is here to guide and heal you. If you feel it calling you are ready to do the work, then it will purge what no longer serves you. Once you step through your fear you will encounter transformational personal growth.

We recommend you communicate your anxieties to your integration guide or shaman so that you start slowly on a lower dose.

When should I not take Sacred Healing?

Before your retreat, we will conduct a medical and psychological assessment to establish if Sacred Healing is right for you. Our private ceremonies include individual healing assessments and treatment plans.

Sacred Healing is not recommended for pregnant or lactating women or those suffering from serious psychiatric disorders.

What type of ceremonies do you offer?

Our shamanic guided Sacred Healing ceremonies offer an intensive 3 Day and 2 Night weekend healing immersion for the transformation of Mind, Body, and Spirit.
